Call For Programs

To be considered for our list of conference programs, please complete the online submission form below.

ALL submissions are accepted through OCTOBER 31, 2017.

CEs will be approved for counselors, social workers, and psychologists. If you have any issues or questions about your submission, please direct them to our President Elect, Brittany Bing or CE Chair Chris Wheelus. In the meantime, mark your calendars for January 24-26, 2018!

2018 Call For Programs Submission Form

  • If a second co-presenter will be present, please include the following: Second co-presenter name, degree/credentials, name of institution, institution address, phone, email.
  • If you have a scheduling conflict, please indicate your preferred presentation date. Otherwise, please leave this section blank.
    List which NBCC-approved Continuing Education Content Area this program directly relates to (see http://www.nbcc.org/resources/nccs/earnce and click Content Areas tab)
  • Brief summary of workshop content for marketing purposes. Include how this workshop substantively addresses some aspect of the counseling profession, as identified by the NBCC content areas listed in the previous box.

  • Guideline: Must have at least one learning objective for every credit hour request. For example: two objectives for 1.5 to 2 hours, three objectives for 3 hours, etc. (refer to https://www.apa.org/ed/sponsor/resources/objectives.pdf) Learning objectives must be observable and measurable. Learning objectives should (1) focus on the learner, (2) contain action verbs that describe measureable behaviors, and (3) focus on skills that can be applied in psychological practice or other professional environments.   • Please cite at least three (3) peer-reviewed research studies that have been published within the past five (5) years that you will refer to during your presentation. This is a requirement. Optionally, if you will also will refer to older articles and/or books, please list those too. Please list citations according to the latest APA format http://www.apastyle.org/
  • Please list presenter(s) expertise for instruction in this particular topic area. If more than one presenter, please list program content each presenter will discuss during the program. This may also serve as a brief bio when introducing presenter(s)
