A mission of GCCA is to support and enhance the practice of college counseling. One way this is accomplished is through the "GCCA Professional Recognition Awards," which are presented at the annual Conference. Another mission of GCCA is to foster a strong student - professional relationship that not only strengthens beginning counselors but also enriches the counseling profession. Consequently, students are encouraged to attend conferences and network with professional members to gain valuable experience and build resumes. To further that end, GCCA offers students free association memberships and conference grants.
